My Crafting Journey: How I Fell in Love with Card Making
Thank you again for stopping by!
Today, I want to share a little piece of my crafting journey—how I discovered the joy of card making.
Since I was a little girl, I’ve always had my hands in something creative. Whether it was my mom, my sister, my Brownie troop, or the many wonderful teachers I had over the years, someone was always introducing me to a new project. From crayon stick figures and macaroni art on paper plates to popsicle stick pencil holders, friendship bracelets, cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, photography, and scrapbooking—each craft has fueled my love for creativity and kept my imagination alive.
After retiring from my full-time job and settling into our new home in Florida, I finally found myself with some free time. One afternoon, I stumbled upon a cheerful YouTube creator who was sharing her love for card making. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and I was instantly inspired. I ordered a few basic supplies and made my very first card.
It wasn’t perfect—but it was a start. And something deep down told me this was the craft I wanted to stick with, to learn, and to grow in.
So, below are pictures of my cards throughout the years using products from various companies such as Spellbinders, Simon Says Stamp, Gina K Designs, Concord & 9th, Lawn Fawn, Hero Arts, Waffle Flower, Honey Bee, just to name a few (the pictures below do not include Kat Scrappiness and Altenew as they have separate blog posts for them).
I hope you enjoy (the good and the bad 😃)!
